The highly desirable residential retreat of Lafayette claims rich history dating back to the mid-1800’s with a Mexican land grant called Rancho Acalanes.

Covering nearly all of present day Lafayette, Rancho Acalanus’ original homes became the first community in central Contra Costa County. Today, the city of Lafayette is proud of its status as one of the most prestigious addresses in the East Bay.
